Many residents in Kingsbridge are concerned about the development of Lock's Hill, due to the environmental impact and the site's insuitability.
South Hams District Council originally refused the planning application, but the developers took their case to the Planning Inspectorate who overruled SHDC and gave permission.
Having held multiple discussions with SHDC and local campaigners, Anthony visited the site on Friday with Councillor Judy Pearce from South Hams District Council. Councillor Pearce has confirmed that the Council has issued a stop notice that would make any further work on the site illegal until the developers have discharged their pre-commencement conditions. There are also multiple tree preservation orders in place across the site.
