Tomorrow, the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill (aka the Planning Bill) comes before the House of Commons for its second reading. This is an opportunity for MPs to raise their concerns, table their amendments and begin the debate on this important Bill.
Ahead of this, Anthony took part in a Westminster Hall debate this afternoon to discuss the importance of neighbourhood plans.
The Localism Act of 2011 gave local communities the opportunity to speak up for what they want in their local area, and now The Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill allows us to look at how we can strengthen neighbourhood plans and write this into law.
I look forward to speaking further on this topic tomorrow, to ensure the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill delivers for residents of South Devon.
