After several months of engaging with the fishing community Anthony Mangnall, Conservative Candidate for Totnes, has been endorsed by Waterdance. Waterdance LTD is a major stakeholder in the fishing industry in Brixham with more than 12 vessels regularly landing in Brixham and selling through the world famous Brixham Fish Market.
A representative of the firm said, “Waterdance Ltd supports Anthony Mangnall to be our MP because he is the right person to promote fishing and jobs in our community. He is the candidate who we trust to ensure that Brixham’s fishing industry remains on top of the political agenda as we negotiate our future outside of the EU. Fishing needs to be prioritised, and Anthony is the person we trust to do this.”
Anthony Mangnall, responded, "I am delighted to have been endorsed by Waterdance LTD. The fishing community is of huge importance to this country, region and to me. I will be the fishing industry's biggest champion and fight for its needs as we leave the EU and negotiate a positive future relationship. I want to see this industry grow within the UK and give it the support it so desperately needs.
Brixham is England's biggest fishing port and home to world famous Brixham fish market, an online cloud based fish auction site. The Prime Minister visited with Anthony in August this year and pledged his support to the fishing community, promising to "ensure that the it [the fishing industry] will not be subjected to tariffs or unnecessary form filling and bureaucracy."
