International Trade Secretary Liz Truss joined local candidate Anthony Mangnall to visit Valeport, a world leading marine technology company based in Totnes.
Valeport is a leading manufacturer of oceanographic, hydrographic and hydrometric instrumentation for industry sectors such as environmental, defence, oil & gas and renewable energy. It exports its Devon-made innovative technology to countries around the world. Both Anthony and Liz Truss toured Valeport’s premises on the River Dart to learn about how the company is exporting its expertise and precision marine instrumentation across the globe.
Throughout the constituency of Totnes and South Devon, there are a growing number of companies who are creating a wealth of expertise in technology and software. Providing greater opportunities for young and old alike. Valeport is helping propel Devon forward as a major region for marine technology.
