Yesterday's debate on the Performance of South West Water (SWW) gave Members of Parliament from across the region the chance to discuss the water company's successes and failures.
MPs from all parties were in agreement that the company's performance has been well below the standard that is expected and required.
As well as highlighting some of the positives in SWW's operations, Anthony also spoke of where it has fallen behind as well as discussing the need to implement greater water quality monitoring in our rivers.
Anthony offered suggestions on how water companies' operations might be improved, including ensuring that new development takes infrastructure into account and that Ofwat is stricter in its enforcement of water companies.
Having already met with action groups such as Friends of the River Dart and Surfers Against Sewage, Anthony is continuing to work with parliamentary colleagues to ensure South West Water is held to account.
He has also arranged for South West Water to attend open meetings across the constituency to speak with residents and hear their views.
