Unfortunately, my debate on Potholes which was due to take place in the House of Commons yesterday was cancelled.
I was looking forward to having a chance to raise the issue of road maintenance with Government, especially as over 700 of you took the time to complete my recent survey on this issue. This is in addition to all those who have written to me directly to share their view.
Thank you to all those who provided feedback - I can assure you that I read your responses with interest.
I was hoping to raise the fact that I wanted to see the reallocated money from HS2 to be frontloaded so we could have it now, and to talk about the different techniques that have been used around the world to repair roads and to sustain highways for longer periods of time.
Please do keep reporting your potholes to Devon County Council and Torbay Council, as this will guide them in their road maintenance plans.
In the meantime, I'm hoping that over the next 6 weeks I can get out to meet as many of you as possible, to answer your questions and to talk about my record as Member of Parliament.
I'll keep fighting on potholes and every other issue that matters to residents of South Devon.
