South Hams District Council would like to engage with businesses on their budget proposals for the 2021/2022 financial year. Businesses are asked to complete a short questionnaire where they can have their say on council tax, business support and the future budget strategy.

Don’t forget, businesses in need of financial support are still able to apply for Covid-19 business grants. At least 11 different government grant schemes are currently available, so South Hams District Council has simplified the application process to help businesses.

The council also allocates some funding to Business Information Point (BIP) to help local businesses get the free support that they need to help them start-up and grow.Business Information Point does not make a profit and is funded entirely by local councils, central government schemes and European projects.
BIP deliver free business support to new and growing businesses across the South Hams. Support is available through one-to-one advice with an experienced business advisor on all aspects of setting up and growing a business, including available grant and loan funding, as well as a variety of business skills workshops. All business sectors are eligible for this support.
