Earlier this week Anthony hosted a roundtable meeting between Minister for Small Business Paul Scully MP and pub landlords from across South Devon.
This was a great chance for local business owners to discuss the challenges faced by the hospitality industry and pubs in particular, including beer duty and staffing shortages.
The Minister and myself understand the importance of pubs to our communities and culture, and we are both working hard to ensure they receive the support they need. The hospitality sector was one of the hardest hit during the pandemic, and the Minister confirmed the Government is working on a Hospitality Recovery Strategy which will address many of the issues raised during this meeting.
