Last week, I hosted a roundtable meeting with local businesses in the hospitality sector and the Chief Executive of UKHospitality, Kate Nicholls.
We spoke about some of the challenges currently facing the industry, primarily the energy crisis, as well as some of the ways in which the Government could provide support.
I took the opportunity yesterday to ask the new Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to meet with me to ensure hospitality businesses remain open, and look forward to discussing this in more depth.
