I am pleased to announce that Totnes and Paignton train station ticket offices will remain open.
You may recall that earlier this year I launched a campaign to save our ticket offices, after proposals were shared to close offices across the country. Having submitted feedback to a national consultation and encouraged residents to also do so, written newspaper articles on the matter, and spoken in a Parliamentary debate, I am pleased that the Government has listened to our views and has communicated to the rail industry that the ticket office reform should not proceed.
